Political campaigns, gatherings continue as elections approach: Iran
The Reforms Front announces ahead of its meeting to take a decision on supporting either candidate Abdolnasser Hemmati or Mohsen Mehralizadeh that its decision on not supporting a candidate did not change.
ISNA, the Iranian Students News Agency, reported that Azar Mansouri, spokeswoman for the Reforms Front in Iran, said that the front's position on not supporting a candidate in these elections did not change, ahead of a meeting held by the front Monday night to decide on supporting either candidate Abdolnasser Hemmati or Mohsen Mehralizadeh.
Hemmati said Tuesday in a press conference that a large section of the reformists supports him and that he would be happy if Mehralizadeh withdrew in his favor.
Electoral campaigns and candidate rallies continue with the elections approaching, as the capital, Tehran, witnessed an electoral rally for supporters of candidate Ebrahim Raisi.
Raisi's supporters gathered in Haft-e Tir Square in the center of the capital, Tehran, raising his pictures and signs in support of the candidate, urging him to stay in the electoral race.
A number of members of his electoral campaign spoke in the assembly, calling on voters to vote for a president, considering that he is the best choice to lead the country, especially after the support he received from the Seminary Teachers in Qom.
Presidential candidate Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that he has a program in mind to establish relations with the East and West under the condition of preserving Iran's pride and independence.
Another gathering was held by supporters of candidate Abdolnasser Hemmati in the Iranian capital. The participants carried pictures of their candidate and toured many places, accompanied by a car playing national anthems.
The candidate for the Iranian presidential elections, Mohsen Rezaee, confirmed to Al Mayadeen that in his government, " He will seek to curb and control prices," adding that "during the first year, the Iranian people will witness a future that gives rise to hope and optimism."
