Iraq: Katyusha missile fell on Ain al-Assad Base
A Katyusha missile falls on the US military airbase Ain al-Assad and a security source tells Al-Mayadeen that the destination where the missile launched was identified.
A security source confirmed to Al-Mayadeen that one Katyusha missile fell so far on the western side of the US military airbase "Ain al-Assad".
The source said that the location of the missile had been determined, noting that there was material damage to the outer fence of the base.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell said, "The security forces are conducting an investigation into the fall of a Katyusha rocket that did not explode, and it was launched from the direction of the Al-Baghdadi area towards Ain Al-Assad airbase, and no significant losses were recorded."

In the same context, an Iraqi security source revealed to Al-Mayadeen that the attack on the American wing at the Ain Al-Assad base on June 6, affected the "Patriot" system radar at the base and destroyed it.
And last month, May, the "Ain al-Assad" base was targeted with three missiles, according to our correspondent.
At the time, the coalition forces, led by Washington, spoke of a "missile attack on the Ain al-Assad airbase," noting that the attack "did not cause casualties among al-Qaeda members."
In the same month, the Security Media Cell reported that a booby-trapped drone had fallen on the Ain al-Assad Air Base in Anbar Governorate, without causing any casualties.
