Al Mayadeen correspondent reported Monday that the Arab countries that Ismail Haniyeh will visit during his ongoing tour are Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia, Algeria, Kuwait, and Lebanon, in addition to visiting Iran.
The chairman of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, arrived at the head of a Hamas delegation to Morocco four days ago, at the invite of the Moroccan Justice and Development Party.
Haniyeh's tour came within the framework of a part of a series of visits he's making to countries of the region. This is his first visit to Morocco, where the Moroccan Prime Minister Saad-Eddine El Othmani received him, affirming his support for the Palestinian people, their resistance, and their victory. Haniyeh will also have meetings with national parties and bodies.
Haniyeh had met Palestinian Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala last week. Two delegations from either movement were there in Cairo. They discussed the political developments in the wake of the Seif Al-Quds battle and its multifaceted consequences at the national, Arab, regional, and international levels.
