Palestinian activist Nizar Banat dead after PNSF Arrested Him
Nizar Banat passed away Thursday dawn after the Palestinian National Security Forces detained him, and there is conflicting information regarding this death.
The family of Palestinian activist Nizar Banat announced his death Thursday at dawn after being arrested by the Palestinian National Security Forces.
Nizar Banat's lawyer also stated that his client's body was transferred for autopsy in order to determine the cause of death.
Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that the family of late Banat confirmed that the security services beat him during the arrest process.

The Governor of Al-Khalil, Jibreen Al-Bakri, made a statement regarding the death of Nizar Banat in Al-Khalil, West Bank, that, "Following issuing a summons from the Public Prosecution to arrest the citizen Nizar Khalil Muhammad Banat, a force from the security services detained him at dawn today, and during the arrest, his health deteriorated. Therefore, he was immediately transferred to the Al-Khalil Government Hospital.
He also indicated that the Public Prosecution was immediately informed, prompting it to start its procedures, according to the statement.

For his part, Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri condemned the "crime of assassination" of the activist and parliamentary candidate Nizar Banat by the PNSF, adding that this crime "reflects the bloody policy of the authority in settling accounts."
Zuhri also called for the prosecution of the persecutors, holding Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh primarily responsible for the crime.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also held "the authority and security services responsible for the assassination of the activist Banat."
As for the Palestinian National Initiative movement, it demanded a commission to investigate the death of girls from outside the authority and from independent personalities.
