The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the American raids on the Popular Mobilization Forces, and described the American aggression at the Syrian-Iraqi borders as a flagrant violation of the sanctity of the two countries' territories.

SANA quoted an official source in the Syrian Foreign Ministry regarding Damascus’s calling on the US administration to respect the unity of the land and the people of Syria and Iraq, and to immediately cease the aggressions against the sovereignty of both countries.

In Lebanon, the political party of Hezbollah strongly condemned the US aggression targeting the Iraqi-Syrian border.

In its statement, the party affirmed that the US aggression is a blatant attack on the sovereignty of the two countries in order to weaken their capabilities in combatting terrorist groups, stressing that the region will not enjoy stability before expelling the occupying US forces.

The statement praised the official and popular Iraqi stances which unanimously reject the aggression.  

Ansar Allah: American projects aim to drown Iraq and Syria

In turn, the political office of “Ansar Allah” in Yemen confirmed that the blatant US aggression on the Iraqi-Syrian border "comes within the framework of air support supporting its criminal tools called Al-Qaeda and ISIS."

Adding that "the United States of America and its destructive projects aimed at plunging Iraq and Syria into these dark projects and enabling their control on the capabilities and wealth of these peoples and the occupation of their countries."  

The statement also praised "the strong official or popular Iraqi stances in confronting the projects of the Great Satan represented in America and its protégé, “Israel”."

In his turn, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Khatib Saeedzadeh said, on Monday evening, that the US raids on Syria and Iraq showcases its arrogance.

He pointed out that Washington should realize that it is on the wrong path, and that "raising tension in the region is not in its interest."

Earlier on Monday, the “Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades” announced the martyrdom of 4 members of the 14th Brigade on the border strip between Iraq and Syria, following an American raid targeting a site for the Popular Mobilization in the Al-Qaim area inside Iraqi territory.

Syrian news agency "SANA" confirmed the death of a child and three civilians in the US attack on the border area with Iraq in the far eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

Yesterday, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the air strikes, carried out under the direction of President Joe Biden, targeted operational and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Syria and one location in Iraq.
