China Condemns US Withdrawal from JCPOA
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying considers the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement behind the current crisis.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said the United States' unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is the basis of the current crisis over Iran's nuclear program.
"Naturally, the US should correct its wrongdoings. To start with, it should lift, fully, unreservedly and thoroughly, its illegal unilateral sanctions on Iran and third parties, so as to encourage Iran to move in the same direction&to push for breakthroughs in the negotiations," a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said in a tweet on Twitter.

She added, "The United States, of course, needs to correct its mistakes, so it should completely lift the unilateral and illegal embargo against Iran and other parties in order to encourage Iran to take a similar path and succeed in negotiations."
US President Joe Biden's administration seeks to pave the way for a return to the nuclear agreement through talks in Vienna, after former US President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear agreement, arguing that Iran can't be prevented from acquiring a nuclear bomb based on the composition of this agreement.
