Al-Mayadeen sources reported that the US military wing at Ain Al-Assad Air Base, located in the Anbar Governorate, western Iraq, was targeted with Katyusha missiles.
The sources indicated that four explosions were heard, adding that the missiles were launched from the city of Hit.
A spokesman for the US-led international coalition, US Colonel Wayne Maroto, said that "at least three missiles" fell on the Ain Al-Asad airbase but "did not result in any deaths or injuries."
Maroto said that reports indicated that the attack happened at 2:45 pm, noting that the international coalition was "assessing the extent of damage."
A security source told Al-Mayadeen, It is noteworthy that on June 20, a Katyusha missile landed on the western side of the Ain al-Assad base, causing material damage to the base's outer fence.
On May 24, the same base was targeted with three missiles, without any recorded injuries.
It is worth noting that Washington accuses Tehran of being behind the attacks on its bases in Iraq, but Iran denies the "false and unreliable" information.
