Days ago, US officials had informed the “Wall Street Journal” newspaper that the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman will meet with several American officials in Washington during an official visit to the US.
The newspaper pointed out that Bin Salman is scheduled to visit the US State Department and the Ministry of Defense and meet with the National Security Advisor James Sullivan, but the newspaper said it is not known if a meeting with President Joe Biden is set.
“Security situations in Iraq and Syria, cease-fire in Yemen, and the situation in “Israel” and Palestine” are among the topics to be discussed during Bin Salman’s visit, as the “Wall Street Journal” reported.
According to the newspaper, it is likely that Saudi Prince Khalid bin Salman will bring to the attention of the American official his "government's concern over renewed nuclear negotiations" with Iran.
Bin Salman is the first member of Saudi Arabia’s government to visit the US since President Joe Biden took office.
