  • Rezazadeh: Iran will not allow

Deputy Head of the National Security Committee of the Iranian parliament Yacoub Rezazadeh denounced the policy of fraud and circumvention adopted by the White House and the US Senate regarding the nuclear agreement.

Iran will not allow "the interests of the Iranian people, which are included in this agreement, to be lost," Rezazadeh said, adding that the US Senate is “playing the classic “bad cop” routine in the nuclear talks."

Besides, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi, stated that the Japanese Foreign Minister's visit to Tehran next week aims to "discuss the nuclear agreement."

Jahanabadi hailed the generally positive relationship with Iran, emphasizing the importance of promoting Iran's constructive stance toward world peace and stability.

According to Japanese diplomatic sources, Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi plans to visit Iran to strengthen ties with the country's new government.

Motegi is expected to meet with his Iranian counterpart in mid-August, as Japan seeks to strengthen its long-standing friendly relations with Iran, according to the local newspaper “The Japan Times."

Iran and Japan have diplomatic and friendly ties dating back to 1929; the Iranians and Japanese exchange several cultural events each year. Meanwhile, Japan shows strong interest in purchasing Iranian oil to meet its expanding energy needs.

Moreover, the level of optimism concerning the nuclear deal between Iran and Western countries strongly declined after the US failed to show any seriousness in the negotiations during the period between Ebrahim Raisi's election and his inauguration in early August.

Expectations predict that the negotiations will most likely be completed before Raisi assumes power.
