Oman's Sultan Visits KSA, Meets King Salman
The Sultan of Oman visits Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a large delegation of ministers and advisors, meeting King Salman bin Abdulaziz in the first visit since he took power last year.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq al-Said, on Sunday morning, on a two-day-long official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The Sultan of Oman, on his first visit outside the Sultanate since he assumed power after the death of his predecessor, Sultan Qaboos, in January 2020, was accompanied by a large delegation of ministers, advisors, and officers.
The Omani Sultan received the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, at Neom Bay Airport, while Saudi warplanes and Royal Guards participated in the reception ceremony.

For his part, the Omani ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Turki al Said, affirmed that the Sultan of Oman's visit is "a new stage to raise the level of integration in the political, security, military, economic, developmental, and humanitarian fields."
He added that the visit gains "importance by strengthening cooperation at the cultural, touristic, and sports levels, especially with the two peoples' aspiration for advancement and progress in these fields."
