China Warns US from Provocative Actions against Beijing
China's Ministry of National Defense Spokesman says, "Taiwan is a sacred and inseparable part of Chinese territory," and considers "any foreign military aircraft landing on Chinese territory must receive approval from Beijing."
China warned the United States of the consequences of the US military transport plane landing on the Island of Taiwan on Thursday.
The Chinese Ministry of National Defense Spokesman Senior Colonel Wu Qian said, "Taiwan is a sacred and inseparable part of Chinese territory," adding that "any foreign military aircraft landing on Chinese territory must receive approval from Beijing."
The Ministry’s Spokesman warned both the United States and Taiwan of any provocative actions against Beijing.
In addition, a US Department of State official confirmed that the US is willing to conduct a dialogue at the highest levels with China regarding the tensioned relations between the two countries.
He also stressed that the United States is ready to conduct a dialogue with China “in a pragmatic, substantive, and direct manner.”
The US Department of State had announced earlier that the Deputy Secretary of State will visit Japan, South Korea, and Mongolia, making no mention of any scheduled visit to China.
The American website Axios revealed on Friday that the largest bloc of House conservatives has drafted a 300-page counterproposal to the Senate's sprawling bipartisan China bill, planning to circulate it to its members.
Last week, the White House Policy Coordinator for Indo-Pacific Affairs Kurt Campbell said, "China and the United States can co-exist peacefully, but the challenge is huge as Beijing increasingly seeks imposing its agenda."
