PFLP calls for gathering in Al-Quds to confront Israeli settlers
Today, Saturday, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on the Palestinians in the West Bank and the Occupied Palestinian Territory to hold a rally in Al-Quds, especially in the Old City and the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, to confront the settlers’ incursions expected tomorrow.
The Popular Front commended "the steadfastness of the Palestinian People, especially those in Al-Quds, who are using their own bodies as shields to protect others and the City, as well as its holy relics, from the Zionist attack, whose recount and concept is based on the distortion of history and seizure of the Arab Palestinian civilization in Al-Quds and all over Palestine."
The Popular Front warned in a statement that "the occupation's unleashing of settlers' hordes to desecrate the Capital is playing with fire and a sign of an escalation that might erupt at any time."
The PFLP pointed out that "the Palestinians all over the occupied territory and abroad, along with all the free people of the world, will not allow the eradication of the history and civilization of humanity whose cradle is in Al-Quds". The PFLP further stated that "the Resistance that courageously fought in the 'Seif al-Quds' Battle in unparalleled valor is still ready and well-prepared to engage in more battles in defense of the occupied Capital and its people."
Yesterday, in a statement, "Hamas" called on Palestinians to “position themselves in defense of Al-Quds and stand in the face of the settlers."
"Hamas" also stated that "the occupation’s government is hammering away at its Judaization policies in the City of Al-Quds, by insisting on evacuating the City from its people and forcibly evicting them, by repeating the scenario of Sheikh Jarrah, through targeting the neighborhoods of Al-Bustan and Batn Al-Hawa, and Wadi Hilwa in the town of Silwan; the fortress that protects Al-Aqsa Mosque from the south."
It is noteworthy to mention that the settlers groups intend to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque tomorrow morning, on Sunday, the 8th of Dhul Hijjah, the eve of Arafat Day, which falls on July 18, in memory of what Israelis call "The Temple's Destruction."
