Zakharova: US Should Remove Its Traces from Middle East
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova calls on the United States to "remove its traces from countries."
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, called for the US to remove its traces from numerous countries in the Middle East on Monday night. Her words are in response to a statement by the Deputy Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General John Hyten.
Zakharova added that “Maybe before the body is oriented towards threats to remove its ‘small traces’ in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria?”, alluding to America's disruptive role in the region and the world.
Hyten had previously stated that "seeing the developments in Afghanistan and Iraq, the United States should not ignore the threats in the Middle East, but deal with them differently, leaving a small footprint so that our body is more focused on threats from China and Russia".
Zakharova also suggested that "the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise is related to his negotiations with China regarding the supply of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine and Washington's position on it."
She added, "the Americans learned of Beijing's contacts with Port-au-Prince, which desperately needs vaccines," adding that "at a time when the Haitian population was dying from the Coronavirus, the example of the Dominican Republic that recognized the People's Republic of China was clear to the Haitian President. It cut ties with Taiwan and got help in fighting the pandemic."
Zakharova mentioned that after Moise's assassination, many of the perpetrators were hidden in Taiwan's diplomatic mission, noting that "a number of those arrested arrived in Haiti on a plane from Colombia, which for years has been considered one of the strongholds of Washington's influence in Latin America." She added, "the tickets were purchased with a credit card for CTU Security, a private security company from Florida."
She added that security companies usually enjoy cover from private military companies used by Americans to attain their goals in various world regions. She stressed that the aforementioned company was involved in President Nicolas Maduro's assassination attempt, according to Venezuelan intelligence information.
At the end of her speech, Zakharova claimed "the killers have experience and numbers of them trained in the United States," noting that two of the suspects hold American citizenship.
