According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, violent clashes occurred between Palestinians and members of the Israeli army in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, resulting in the death of Palestinian Shadi Salim, 41, who was shot by occupation forces.

Wafa, the official Palestinian news agency stated that "The Israeli forces shot Salim, when he was at the town crossroads, killing him," adding that "the body was seized by occupation soldiers and transported it by an Israeli ambulance, amidst a large crowd."

Concurrently, the deputy mayor of Beita reported that the martyr was on his way home from work, emphasizing that he posed no threat to the occupying forces, that there were no clashes at the town's entry, and what took place was an execution.

According to Israeli media, the occupation army fired at Salim when he "rushed towards the soldiers with an iron rod, and refused orders to halt." They said that an inquiry into the incident is underway.

Clashes also occurred at the evacuated settlement of Avitar, south of Nablus, as well as near Jenin and the Qalandia Checkpoint.

Additionally, confrontations occurred Tuesday night and early Wednesday between forces of the occupation army and Palestinians in Jenin, and at Qalandia checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem respectively.

In addition to gas bombs, the Israeli forces fired live bullets at the restless youths.

The teenagers and residents of Beita maintain their nighttime operations in order to thwart the settlers' effort to confiscate the grounds of Jabal Sobeih and establish a new settlement outpost on the mountain's summit.

The Palestinians managed to burn two caravans in the settlement of Avitar, in addition to detonating a sound device atop Jabal Sabih.

In an alternative context, at dawn today, occupying troops destroyed and obliterated a number of lands and homes near Al-Raqim town in occupied Jerusalem.

Additionally, last Saturday, 3 Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire while protesting the Israeli's seizure of property east Tubas near the occupation's Tayasir crossing to create a settlement outpost.

Confrontations ensued between protesting inhabitants and settlers, who were protected by occupation troops and repressed the march by firing live bullets, rubber-coated metal, and tear gas canisters.

The UN Security Council is anticipated to meet today, Wednesday, to address Israeli breaches in Palestinian areas, as well as settlers' attacks in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.

Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, confirmed that the security council session will also address the siege on the Gaza Strip and the affair of prisoners, assuring that he sent a memorandum to the President of the Security Council and the Secretary-General of the United Nations. He urged the international community to assume responsibility towards the Palestinian cause.
