The Commander of the Lebanese Army, Joseph Aoun, affirmed that he will not allow under any circumstances to plunge the country into chaos and destabilize its security.

On Lebanese Army Day, Aoun said, "Our eyes are watching over the borders to confront the danger of the Israeli enemy, which has recently escalated their threats to Lebanon."

He pointed out that despite the successive crises, which are getting worse, attention is turned to the military institution, which remains the focus of the Lebanese people's hopes after it proved that it is the unifying national institution that has won the confidence of the people and the countries of the world.

Aoun directed the soldiers, saying: "Do not allow anyone to take advantage of the poor living situation to question your faith in your country and your institution. Lebanon is in our hands, and it is prohibited under any circumstance to plunge the country into chaos and destabilize its security and stability."

He added: "Additional challenges will confront us. Be ready to face them with wisdom, patience, and deliberation. Do not let sedition infiltrate our homeland, and do not allow fishermen in troubled waters to achieve their goals."
