Families of September 11 terror attack victims have requested a meeting with US President Joe Biden, as the US will mark the twenty-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the fall.

According to Fox News, the families of the victims are suing Saudi Arabia, hoping to release documents that may disclose the possible involvement of Saudi Arabia in the attacks.

Saudi Arabia has denied any involvement in the attacks, but the lawsuit filed by the families of the victims alleges that Saudi Arabia deliberately enabled the attacks.

It is notable that after the publication of the US intelligence report on the murder of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey, the families of victims demanded that President Biden release classified documents about the FBI investigation into the role of Saudi Arabia in 9/11. Trump abstained from publishing the documents during his presidency.

In a letter from the families of victims, the families stressed that justice had not been served, describing that their lawsuit against the Saudi Government for being complicit in the attacks "has been repeatedly thwarted in recent years by the refusal of the FBI and Justice Department to turn over key documents."

Last year, attorneys for those affected by the 9/11 attacks discovered that transcripts and documents they had been asking criminal and intelligence authorities for years, "were handed to lawyers of the accused in terrorism cases at Guantánamo Bay."

The documents discuss Saudi officials embracing perpetrators of the attacks and sponsoring them with money, housing, and travel.
