Israeli Media: "Israel" is Worried Over Iran's Naval Operations
According to Israeli media, military and security officials have stated that "Israel" will not overlook its ship being attacked, and political procedures will not be enough; "Israel" will investigate how to respond at the appropriate time and location.
According to Israeli media, officials in "Israel's" security and military establishment are concerned that the international community will ignore Iran's naval operations, allowing Iran to continue its operations without international response.
Officials also expressed their concerns over the ambiguous statements issued by the United States and the United Kingdom last Friday.
The media also reported that security and military officials discussed the attack on an Israeli company's ship off the coast of Oman, yesterday, Saturday, and added that "Israel" will not overlook the attack. They also stressed that political procedures will not be enough and that "Israel" will look into how to respond at the appropriate time and location.
"The Israeli army's freedom of action has not been hampered," the sources say, and it can act against specific threats if any are discovered.
The establishment also condemned the Iranian reports that the attack was in response to an Israeli operation in Syria, claiming that Iran is working against "Israel" at different levels, but not all incidents are being reported in the media.
Officials from the establishment emphasized that this is concerned with the world's busiest international navigation passage. In addition to political processes aimed at drawing attention to Iran's violent attack, in which two were killed, an Israeli request was sent to Western countries to condemn Iran at the United Nations, particularly in the first week of Iranian President-elect Ibrahim Raisi's term.
In the same context, the political analyst at Walla website Barak Ravid described what had happened in an article and pointed out that senior Israeli officials had said that "Israel" was focusing at this stage on diplomatic operations in order to push three other operations forward:
1- Issuing clear statements of condemnation from the US, UK, and other countries that hold Iran responsible.
2- Pushing for an international investigation into the incident.
3- Holding a Security Council session on the matter.
Meanwhile, officials from the Israeli occupation Prime Minister's office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Public Security met with officials from the Biden administration to discuss the incident. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has demanded all Security Council members to condemn the attack and explained that "Israel" is considering the attack with great gravity, that Iran was responsible for it, and that it is posing a severe threat to international navigation security.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh maintained that "whoever granted the Zionist entity access to the area was liable for the current scenario," in response to the accusations that Iran is responsible for the targeting of the Israeli ship in the Sea of Oman. He also denounced the Israeli accusations and called them "unfounded".
