Egypt: Army Killed 89 Takfiris in Northern Sinai
As part of their efforts to intensify security measures to pursue and defeat terrorists, the Egyptian armed forces carried out massive military operations in northern Sinai against Takfiris and conducted a campaign against narcotic plants.
The General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces issued a statement on Sunday announcing that 89 Takfiris were killed in Northern Sinai.
According to the statement, the heroes of the armed forces have succeeded in targeting terrorist elements and carrying out several tactical operations as part of the army’s efforts to intensify security measures to "pursue and defeat terrorists" across the state's strategic positions.
These operations, according to the statement, are part of a stepped-up security effort in the state's western strategic position, where air forces, side by side with border guards, were able to carry out primitive strikes against the terrorists.

In the meantime, the Egyptian army stated that extensive measures to eradicate narcotic crops in Northern Sinai had been carried out.
The Egyptian army concluded its statement by stating that it is committed to combating all forms of terrorism and radicalism and maintaining at the same time the development and construction process throughout Egypt.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian military forces had conducted a month-long ground and air campaign in May 2020 to target armed organizations and Takfiris, as well as their logistical equipment.
