Tunisian Judiciary: Over 30 MPs Embroiled in Corruption
The Spokesperson for Tunisia's Financial Judiciary Division, Mohsen Al-Dali, pointed out that more than 30 members of parliament are embroiled in fraud and money laundering.
Dali said that some very large cases will be brought up within the next few days, noting that a number of MPs are involved in cases of fraud and money laundering.
The spokesperson added that a session has been scheduled for November 26th, while other cases are still being processed.
Tunisia's financial judiciary division's court examiner has ordered a travel ban on five directors in Tunisia airlines, as well as flight engineers.
These orders are the result of accusations of conflict of interest that harmed management, said Dali, adding that a travel ban was also issued against a director and general manager in a brokerage firm for embezzling government treasury funds.
This comes in the backdrop of President Kais Saied relieving Finance Minister Ali Kooli from his duties and appointing Sihem Boughdiri in his stead.
