Palestinian students celebrate their success through "night confusion" activities
High school students in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, celebrated their academic achievement by partaking in "night confusion" activities in Jabal Sbeih.
After invitations to an exceptional night of confusion, hundreds of townspeople handed out sweets and participated in festivities on Jabal Sbeih, which is threatened by a settlement.
Students and their parents lit rubber tires, carried torches, and lit firecrackers while chanting shouts of joy.

Student grades were released yesterday in occupied Palestine, and numerous Palestinians achieved high marks in clear spite of the Israeli occupation and the restrictions it enforces.
Social media pioneers shared stories of Palestinian students who attained high grades.

Gaza: exams after the war!
It is impressive that in the Gaza Strip, students did exams immediately after the last war which ended on May 21 - a war that claimed the lives of many Palestinians.
In the West Bank, students who live in towns bordering settlements, such as Beita, suffered a great amount due to the hurdles set in place by the occupation and repeated attacks by settlers. Several students were arrested days before their exams due to confrontations with settlers.
Results of the general secondary exams for 2021 were released by the Ministry of Education. The total number of applicants reached 82,924 and the successful applicants amounted to 59,128, with a success rate of 71.37%.
Amid the difficulty of living under occupation and the coronavirus pandemic, the scientific branch reached a success rate of 85.62%, the literary branch 65.21%, the entrepreneurship and business branch 71.66%, the legal branch 67.02%, and the technological branch 87.76%.
Results indicated that 48.9% of students who excelled in the scientific branch from Gaza attained marks of 90% or higher, and 19% of those who excelled in the literary branch attained marks of 90% or above.
