Israeli Repression Units Attack Palestinian Prisoners at An-Naqab Prison
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, the Media Advisor for the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission Hassan Abd-Rabbu said that the Israeli occupation continues to practice its racist policies against Palestinian prisoners in an-Naqab prison.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) reported that Israeli repression units raided section 2 in the Israeli prison facility in the an-Naqab Desert, and brutally assaulted prisoners.
PPS confirmed that this attack echoes "a continuation of the Israeli policy of abuse and retaliation, and attempts to impose a de facto position of authority inside prisons and detention centers."
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, the Media Advisor to the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission Hassan Abd-Rabbu stated that "the occupation is repeatedly attempting to pass its racist project against the prisoners."
Furthermore, he emphasized that the Israeli occupation employs a policy of mass torture against prisoners, as seen today in an-Naqab prison, adding that it employs racist practices against Palestinian prisoners.
Abd-Rabbu also confirmed that the occupation is attempting to break the prisoners' will by using brutal force in order to impose its control.
Furthermore, the media Advisor explained that the Palestinian prisoners in an-Naqab desert prison are immensely suffering from the heat as well as the occupation's brutal practices, revealing that there are talks within PPS to discuss how to intercept "Israel’s" aggressive violations.
The repression units in Israeli prisons include highly trained Israeli occupation soldiers armed with different weapons such as knives, batons, teargas canisters, electric sticks, and dumdum bullets.
