Tebboune Mourns 25 Martyrs in Algerian Army
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune pays tribute to the 25 Algerian army martyrs who fell while suppressing and evacuating people of areas devastated by flames.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune grieved the martyrs of the Algerian army who were martyred yesterday, Monday, during the evacuation of inhabitants of the areas ravaged by flames.
Tebboune said on Twitter, "with profound sorrow and grief, I received the news of the martyrdom of 25 soldiers of the People's National Army after they succeeded in saving more than a hundred citizens from the raging fires in the highlands of Bejaia and Tizi Ouzou."
He went on to say, "Ahead of this calamity, we kneel in respect before the souls of the nation's righteous sons."

Meanwhile, the Algerian Ministry of Defense reported that during the fire extermination, the ministry reported the deaths of 18 soldiers, including one Gendarme, as well as the injuries of 6 soldiers with various degrees of burns. According to Algeria's Prime Minister, the number of fatalities reached 42.
The Chief of Staff of the People's National Army expressed his sorrow and offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs as well as the military institution.
According to a local official reported by Algerian Television, forest fires that blazed in numerous Algerian regions on Monday killed seven people in the Tizi Ouzou province after they were besieged by the fires in their mountainous villages.
