US Not Willing to Step up Military Responses against “Iranian Attacks”: Israeli Media
Israeli officials learned from the head of the "CIA" that "the US has not given up trying to reach an agreement with Iran."
The director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns arrived in “Israel” on Tuesday for talks centering on Iran, yet Burns surprisingly discussed Palestinians and ways to enhance the Palestinian Authority. According to Israeli media, he emphasized the US’ intention not to abandon Iran’s nuclear deal.
The CIA chief detailed to Israeli officials that the US "has not given up trying to reach an agreement with Iran" and that the US "has no intention of responding militarily to Iranian attacks on ships."
Amid recent talks in Vienna, “Israel” expressed concern about Washington reviving the deal, which former US President Donald Trump abandoned.
Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid stated that " 'Israel' will do everything in its power to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons," according to “Israel Radio”.
Lapid added “Israel” must be prepared for a possible agreement between the United States and Iran on reviving the 2015 nuclear deal.
