Commenting on the operation whereby 6 Palestinian prisoners liberated themselves from Gilboa Prison, the former director of the Israeli Gilboa Prison said that the prisoners had much more creativity than their jailers this time.

The former director of the Israeli Gilboa Prison said that it is not possible for prisoners sentenced to life in prison not to plan to escape, commenting on the breakout operation whereby 6 Palestinian prisoners liberated themselves from Gilboa Prison, which is described as the most fortified in "Israel".
He stressed that "this war is a war of minds," adding that "this time their minds were much more creative than their jailers’. They are the ones who won; they won both morally, and operationally."
It is worth noting that it was this director who thwarted an escape from the same cell in 2014.
Israeli media has confirmed that the Israeli search efforts for the 6 escapees have hit a dead end.
