Turkish FM Meets with Armed Groups Leaders in Aleppo
Local sources had informed that the Turkish Foreign Minister met the leaders of armed groups during his visit to the city of Azaz in the northern Aleppo. The sources added that Akar's meeting with the armed leaders lasted more than an hour.
Local sources confirmed that the Turkish Minister of Defence Hulusy Akar met the leaders of the Azm Operations Room and the leadership of the Third Corps forces during his visit to the Azaz region of the Northern Aleppo countryside, which is under control of the Turkish Armed Forces. The meeting lasted one and a half hours.
The sources stated that the meeting was held near the Bab al-Salama border crossing with Turkey, north of the city of Azaz.
Moreover, the sources confirmed that the Azaz and Bab al-Salama area witnessed a security alert hours before the arrival of the Turkish Defense Minister to the Euphrates Shield area.
Meanwhile, the armed groups’ coordinators reported the news of the landing of a helicopter carrying the Turkish minister in the village of Deir Hassan, near the Syrian-Turkish border, which is under the control of the Euphrates Shield militants.
According to the armed groups, Akar will visit the Turkish bases east of the city of Al-Bab, especially after one of the bases was bombed by Grad rockets yesterday, which led to the killing of a Turkish soldier.
