At least 51 Palestinians were killed and 113 others were injured in 24 hours as the Israeli occupation escalates its aggression across the Gaza Strip, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported on Tuesday.
The total number of martyrs since October 7, 2023, has risen to 52,365, while the number of wounded has reached 117,905.
Since March 18, 2025, 2,273 people have been martyred and 5,864 others injured, underscoring the relentless pace of Israeli attacks. Rescue teams continue to face extreme difficulty accessing victims due to ongoing bombardment and destroyed infrastructure, with many individuals still trapped beneath the rubble.
Ten Gaza detainees released
However, amid the ongoing escalation, ten Palestinian detainees were released through the Kissufim military crossing east of Deir al-Balah, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
Israeli genocide ongoing
A Palestinian child was martyred in an Israeli drone strike east of the Ain Jalut Towers near the al-Nuseirat refugee camp, as per our correspondent. In a separate incident, an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped bombs on civilians who were collecting firewood east of the al-Bureij refugee camp. Three Palestinians were also killed in Qizan al-Najjar, south of Khan Younis, following a drone strike, while Israeli warplanes targeted a vehicle repair workshop near the Fares gas station in the same area.
Artillery shelling later struck the al-Shaabeen neighborhood in Qizan Al-Najjar, causing further casualties and damage.
In Gaza City, three people were killed in an airstrike on the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, while another was killed near Al-Huda Mosque in the same area, our correspondent added.
Concurrently, additional injuries were reported following a strike on Wadi al-Arais. In the al-Tuffah neighborhood, one person was killed and several others were injured in an airstrike near the al-Sanafur area.
Israeli airstrikes also targeted northern Gaza. In Beit Lahia, the IOF launched fresh strikes, while two people were killed in a separate attack on Beit Hanoun. In southern Gaza, the bodies of three martyrs were retrieved from the al-Manara neighborhood, southeast of Khan Younis, following a previous Israeli attack. A drone strike also hit an area near the Ansar compound west of Gaza City, while another strike killed one person in eastern Gaza City.
The latest developments reflect the widening scope of Israeli occupation aggression and the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza as civilian areas continue to be relentlessly targeted.
Gaza witnessing widespread death, hunger, disappearances, and deprivation: ICRC
The Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross said on Monday that “a new inferno has been unleashed on Gaza” following the restart of war in the Palestinian territory, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported.
“Gaza is experiencing and enduring death, injury, multiple displacements, amputations, separation, disappearance, starvation and denial of aid and dignity on a massive scale,” said Pierre Krahenbuhl in his speech at the Global Security Forum in Doha.
“Just when the important ceasefire on 19 January led people to believe that they had survived the worst, a new inferno was unleashed.”
