Hamas Determined to Break Blockade on Gaza Strip
Hamas spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanou asserts that the Palestinian people have all the options in front of them in regards to pressuring the Israeli occupation into lifting the blockade.
Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanou stated Saturday that unless a breakthrough is achieved for the Palestinian people in Gaza, they will continue to resist the blockade by any and every means possible.
Al-Qanou made statements to the press, in which he asserted that the Palestinian people are determined to forcibly take their demands and lift the blockade imposed on the strip, as they will no longer accept the occupation's gradual "easing" of restrictions.
The spokesman stressed that the Palestinian people have many options available to them. They can "force the Israeli occupation to lift the blockade on our people," he said.
This comes at a time when the Palestinians in Gaza have been protesting against the Israeli occupation's policies, especially in terms of restrictions on goods and traveling in and out of the strip.
The Israeli occupation responded to the protests and activities, such as launching incendiary balloons toward the occupied territories, by launching air strikes on the Gaza Strip for several days in a row. The raids terrorized Palestinians and caused massive damages against a strip already deprived of basic resources.
