Amir-Abdollahian: Until its liberation, Iran will support Palestine
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expresses support for Palestine in a phone call with the head of the Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh.
During a phone call with the political bureau chief of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian confirmed that Iran will continue to support the Palestinian people until their liberation.
According to Amir-Abdollahian, Iran supports the struggle for the liberation of Palestine as well as "the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its historical borders with al-Quds as its capital."
The Foreign Minister expressed his respect for the Palestinian people's fight in the face of Israeli oppression, particularly during the Seif al-Quds battle, adding that resistance is the only pathway for Palestinian liberation.
The continued atrocities of the occupation against women were harshly condemned, with Amir-Abdollahian emphasizing Iran's support for "conducting a referendum and allowing Palestinians to choose their own fate."
Haniyeh congratulated Amir-Abdollahian on his tenure as Foreign Minister and expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Iran's support of the Palestinian people and its resistance.
