'A Tale of Sun and Land'; Hezbollah showcases air-defense system
The landmark in eastern Lebanon showcases around 50 pieces of military hardware seized by the Resistance during its fight against the Israeli occupation since the 1980s and terrorist groups, more recently.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon Hezbollah displayed the "SA-6" air defense system alongside a number of combat hardware during a military exhibition held on Saturday in the city of Baalbeck, eastern Lebanon, on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the liberation of Lebanon's eastern outskirts.
Hezbollah inaugurated the Baalbeck Museum (A Tale of Sun and Land) under the auspices of the head of Hezbollah's political council, Sayyed Ibrahim Amin Al-Sayyed, and in the presence of religious, political, social and municipal figures, surrounded by a large crowd of Resistance supporters.

Spanning over an area of 10,452 square meters - stimulating that of Lebanon (10,452 square km) - the exhibition showcased around 50 pieces of military hardware seized by the Resistance during its fights to protect the country in the past decades.
The Museum includes vehicles captured by Hezbollah since the time of the Israeli occupation of Lebanon in the 1980s, passing through the first liberation of South Lebanon in 2000, the victory over the Israelis in the 2006 July War, and most recently the second liberation in 2017 from the terrorist groups that were occupying vast land in northern and eastern Bekaa regions near the Syrian borders.

The Hezbollah official confirmed that the "establishment of this kind of monuments, exhibitions, and museums is taking place so that the victories and achievements of the resistance are never lost."
"The Museum of military vehicles bears witness to the Resistance's ability and efficiency and to the enemy's defeat and weakness," he said, addressing the crowd.
The Resistance's senior leader stressed that "the youth of the resistance stood strong in the face of all challenges," adding that "if the armies of the whole world unite against the men of the Resistance, they shall never impede their faith, determination, and will."

"The world is changing," he continued, recalling the revolutions taking place in Africa nowadays, and said that the United States "has never sided with the Arabs, as it always works according to its interests."
During the site's opening ceremony, an officer of the Islamic Resistance explained the objectives of the tourist and resistance exhibition and its holdings.
On August 11, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) unveiled the Tharallah dual-platform guided missile system, which was put into operation in 2015.
Tharallah has several specifications, the most prominent of which is that it is an anti-armor weapon with two launching platforms, and it is designed to launch Kornet missiles. It also enjoys the capability of simultaneously hitting and destroying targets with great accuracy, both in daytime and nighttime firing.
