Abu Hawash faces sudden death possibility: Prisoners' lawyer
The lawyer for the Palestinian prisoners, Jawad Boulos, confirms, quoting doctors familiar with the health of the prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash, that he "is facing the possibility of sudden death," adding that he is in a very critical condition.
Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash faces the threat of sudden death, PPC lawyer Jawad Boulos said Saturday.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club said Jawad Boulos affirmed, based on a medical report issued by doctors in humanitarian organizations, "Prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash, who has been hunger-striking for 138 days, faces the threat of sudden death, and he is in a very critical condition."
"The doctors attached basic and keynotes in the report, which says the medical staff in the hospital refused to update them on Hisham's health condition. The doctors who visited were unable to comprehend the fact that doctors in previous hospitals agreed to transfer him back to prison, despite the reports highlighting how serious his health condition was," Boulos said.
The lawyer also underscored that the doctors were shocked and astonished, nodding to the international and local medical axioms: detainees who surpass their 55th day on hunger strike are practically facing sudden death and must remain in the hospital.
The PPC had once again appealed to all competent authorities and at all levels to intervene decisively to save the life of prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash before it's too late. It stressed that the battle that Abu Hawash is waging is "a battle for every Palestinian" who has faced and is facing administrative detention."
