Additional classified papers found at Biden's Delaware residence
DOJ officials reportedly found an additional 5 pages of classified papers, according to Biden's aide.
In light of the latest scandal involving the discovery of highly classified Obama-era documents that could lead to open a criminal investigation, aides to US President Joe Biden said on Saturday that another trove of classified papers was found at his residence in Wilmington, Delaware.
"Because I have a security clearance, I went to Wilmington Thursday evening to facilitate providing the document the President's personal counsel found on Wednesday to the Justice Department. While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages," Special Counsel to the US President, Richard Sauber, said in a statement on Saturday.
The first batch of 10 papers was discovered on Monday at Biden's UPenn’s Biden Center for Diplomacy in three or four boxes and was dated between 2013 and 2016, and contained documents related to Ukraine, Iran, and the UK.
The second batch was found in the garage of his Wilmington Residence, with an additional one-page document found in one of the residence's rooms.
This brings the total number of known documents roughly to 25, as of today.
