After deemed 'unsafe' country, UAE suspends flying civilian drones
The Emirati Ministry of Interior bans flying drones for "safety" reasons.
The UAE Ministry of Interior announced Saturday suspending "all flying operations for owners, practitioners, and enthusiasts of drones, including drones and light sports aircraft" due to "safety" related reasons.
The Emirati announcement comes after the Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson, Yahya Saree, called on foreign companies in the UAE to leave the country.

"After the crimes committed by US-Saudi-UAE aggression today against Yemeni people, we advise the foreign companies in Emirates to leave," Saree tweeted.
According to the Yemeni spokesperson, these companies "invest in an unsafe country" whose rulers "continue in their aggression against Yemen."

The Emirati Ministry of Interior claimed that the decision, effective January 22, came "after the misuse spotted recently, not limiting the practice of these sports to the areas identified in the user permits and trespassing into areas where these types of activities are prohibited."
A few days ago, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced carrying out "a qualitative military operation, Operation Yemen Hurricane, in response to the escalation of aggression against the country."
The operation targeted Abu Dhabi's airport, the oil refinery in Mussafah in Abu Dhabi, and several other sites in the UAE.
