Airspace blockade marks new phase in war on 'Israel': Yemeni source
The coming days will be increasingly difficult for "Israel", particularly in light of the Yemeni Resistance's expanding military capabilities, a high-ranking source told Al Mayadeen.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent on Monday relayed a series of statements from a high-ranking Yemeni source, issued in response to the latest Israeli-US airstrikes on western Yemen.
"The Israeli-US aggression targeted a civilian port visited by UN organizations and the Bajil cement factory," the source stated, describing the attack as a clear breach of international law. "Yemen is well aware that the US and the Zionist entity do not abide by international laws and continue to violate them," they added.
Far from deterring Yemen, the official asserted that the strikes would deepen the country's commitment to its military objectives. "No power can deter Yemen, and this aggression will only push Yemen to continue pursuing its noble objectives."
The source declared that the coming days will be increasingly difficult for "Israel", particularly in light of the Yemeni Resistance's expanding military capabilities. "The upcoming phase will be very difficult, extremely difficult, for the Israeli enemy. The airspace blockade in occupied Palestine is a painful blow to the fragile structure of the Zionist entity."
Stressing that Yemen does not operate in a reactive fashion, the official continued: "Yemen takes the initiative in targeting the enemy and does not wait for an action-reaction equation." They added that the ability to initiate and control the tempo of military operations is "a key element in achieving objectives," and that both the US and Israel have so far failed to adapt to this doctrine.
Resilient Yemen
These remarks came after Israeli and US warplanes conducted six strikes on the port city of Al Hodeidah, hitting both the harbor and urban areas nearby, as reported by Al Masirah.
The Bajil Cement Factory—one of the targets—lies about 50 kilometers from Hodeidah and is a cornerstone of Yemen's industrial sector. The facility has undergone multiple expansions since the 1970s, most recently through a deal with China's CMEC in 2007.
Israeli media confirmed the operation, with a senior official telling Axios: "The attack on Yemen was carried out solely by Israel, in coordination with the United States." Channel 12 further reported that "thirty Israeli fighter jets are participating in the attack on Yemen."

The airstrikes followed a ballistic missile launch from Yemen on Sunday that landed near Ben Gurion Airport, disrupting operations for about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported, but major airlines, including Lufthansa, Delta, Air France, and Wizz Air, suspended flights to Tel Aviv. Yemeni authorities confirmed their role in the strike, as part of their continued response to Israeli actions in Gaza.
Despite the show of force, Israeli officials privately acknowledged that such actions are unlikely to halt further attacks. "We do not expect our attack on Yemen to stop missile fire against us," one security source told Channel 13, noting preparations for additional strikes by Ansar Allah.
