Al-Houthi: The security of Yemen is our top priority

On Thursday, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, stated that national security is a top priority of the Ministry of Interior and other national security institutions, adding that "when its bases, principles, and foundations are just, moral, and humanitarian, then it is one of the most sacred responsibilities."

During a solemn military parade of the security forces of the Yemeni Ministry of Interior, under the slogan "GuardedYemen", al-Houthi said that "the Ministry of Interior is acting under the framework of its mission that entails protecting the Yemeni people and maintaining security and stability."

The Ansar Allah leader noted that "its [the Ministry's] formations rely on a myriad of achievements aimed at thwarting the aggressive and criminal endeavors of the enemies."

The Yemeni leader added, "Our message to the enemies, through this military parade, is that the achievements of the Ministry of Interior, after the massive attack it endured, clearly shows that the enemies’ efforts to destroy this institution have gone in vain."

He pointed out that "the coalition of aggression tried to destroy this institution that is dedicated to serving the [Yemeni] people and ensuring their security and protection, as it targeted several parts of its infrastructure," noting that "despite all the damage inflicted on it, we now see it standing strong as it parades this symbolic procession of its units."

Al-Houthi added that "the coalition of aggression, in addition to its comprehensive military aggression, launched an offensive targeting the Yemeni people, endangering their security and stability before the military battle," warning the enemies against pursuing their conspiracies targeting Yemen.

He explained that "the enemy worked hard, using the takfiris to implement many criminal schemes with bombings, most of which failed," noting that "the enemy had several plans to sabotage national security, under political titles, including plots to carry out many assassinations."

The leader of Ansar Allah stressed that "had the enemy succeeded in creating an open and easy environment that no one can confront, the (Yemeni) people's lives would have witnessed terrible and brutal criminal massacres on a daily basis."

He also stressed that "security and stability are a natural right of the [Yemeni] people and the fact that enemies target the people's security and stability is clear proof of their hostile goals and the true nature of their battle."

On his part, the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdul-Karim al-Houthi, said in a speech during the military parade that "the security establishment, with all its specialties, is operating intensively at the security level."

"For the past eight years, America and Israel have led aggression against the Yemeni people, their security, and stability," he stressed.

Al-Houthi stressed that the security establishment will exert strained efforts to improve security at all levels.

On Wednesday, the Minister of Defense in the Sanaa government, Major General Mohammad Nasser Al-Atifi, indicated that “the army is able to protect the wealth of the Yemeni people and is ready to respond adequately under the commands of the leader of the revolution," adding, "We have prepared our plans to inflict severe damage by targeting specific areas of the enemy countries, which are of a strategic, military, and intelligence nature."
