The head of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, says his country will remain vigilant and fully prepared, while closely monitoring the implementation of the agreement to end the aggression on Gaza and allow aid into the country.
In a speech marking the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, Al-Mashat affirmed the Yemeni forces' readiness to respond to any developments regarding the Gaza agreement.
He pointed out that "the sacrifices made by our Yemeni people are in the eyes of God, and that they will only increase their determination and steadfastness in adhering to the just position, no matter how great the sacrifices."
Al-Mashat also revealed that "work is underway to develop and upgrade military capabilities in all areas to enable forces to confront the enemy's modern military technologies."
He emphasized that the development of military capabilities comes within the framework of preparedness and readiness for any new developments and to achieve deterrence "in light of the fierce aggressive attack on the country and the nation."
Al-Mashat to Saudi Arabia: US is exploiting region's sensitivities to serve the enemy
Al-Mashat also called on Saudi Arabia to move from the de-escalation phase to ending the aggression, siege, and occupation, and implementing the clear requirements of peace.
In this context, he pointed out that ending the aggression, siege, and occupation, and implementing the requirements of peace, is "the most likely solution to block the path for those who invest in wars among our nation's people in the service of Israel," noting that "America is exploiting all the sensitivities in the region for the sake of the Israeli enemy, if you understand."
Al-Mashat: Stance against Israeli arrogance necessary
He affirmed his country's full solidarity "with the Lebanese and Syrian peoples and all the peoples of the region who are being subjected to the brutal Zionist aggression," emphasizing the need to adopt a firm Arab and Islamic stance against the entity's arrogance and violation of the region.
The President of the Supreme Political Council praised the sacrifices of all the free and honorable people who stood by the oppressed Palestinian people, foremost among them Hezbollah, the free people of Iraq, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also commended the honorable stances of free peoples who stood up against the crimes of genocide and starvation, as well as all countries that severed relations with the Zionist entity or imposed deterrent sanctions on it.
