Al Mayadeen's sources reveal negotiations for humanitarian truce
A source reveals to Al Mayadeen that negotiations for a 3-day humanitarian truce are underway, citing its main points.
Negotiations aiming for a three-day humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip are underway, however, the Israeli occupation continues to stall, according to Al Mayadeen's source.
The source further noted that the Resistance has not specified the final number of captives it could release vis-a-vis the proposed formula, however, it is likely that those set to be released are more than the 12 captives the spokesperson of Al-Qassam Brigade Abu Obeida referred to in one of his speeches.
As such, the captives to be released would be non-military women and children with dual citizenship.
In return, said the source, the Israeli occupation would also release women and children Palestinian prisoners.
Additionally, the source noted that the truce being negotiated is also set to include the opening of the Rafah border crossing and the entry of humanitarian aid to the Strip and the transporting of some of the injured outside of the Strip.
Humanitarian truce or pause?
It is worth noting that the difference between a truce and a humanitarian pause, which is being propagated by Western media, is that a humanitarian pause, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), is defined as a "temporary cessation of hostilities purely for humanitarian purposes", and requires "the agreement of all relevant parties", stressing that typically it is implemented for "a defined period and specific geographic area."

Only way for captives' release is an exchange deal: Abu Obeida
The spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, announced on Wednesday that the Resistance has completely or partially destroyed 136 Israeli military vehicles in Gaza since the start of the ground invasion.
In a televised statement, Abu Obeida confirmed that the occupation forces have suffered significant casualties during confrontations with the Resistance fighters across Gaza axes.

Additionally, Abu Obeida underscored that all the Resistance's achievements came in the face of an army that claims to be "the strongest in the region" and that possesses "massive amounts of armored vehicles and elite forces supported by land, sea, and air."
Meanwhile, the Resistance is inflicting heavy losses on the Israeli army despite having "no tanks, no aircraft, no armored vehicles, not even a mountain, hill, or difficult terrain" to fight within.
Commenting on the performance of the Resistance fighters on the ground, the spokesperson praised the bravery and unprecedented courage of the fighters "33 days into Operation Al-Aqsa Flood," emphasizing that the Resistance continues to fight the Israeli aggression on all fronts, while the invading forces continue to avoid full confrontation.
Concluding the televised statement, Abu Obeida declared a new phase in the battle, warning the Israeli occupation entity of a "new phase of wrath [to be unleashed on the Israeli forces]" and called on Palestinians and fighters across all occupied Palestine to mobilize and "crush the Zionist project."
