Al Mayadeen: Prisoner on Hunger Strike in Hospital After Health deterioration
The prisoner Hisham Hawash was transported to the hospital after his health conditions dangerously deteriorated, while the occupation court refuses to freeze administrative detentions.
The prisoners’ institutions stated that the detainee Hisham Abu Hawash, who has been on hunger strike for 64 days, was transferred to the hospital.
In the meantime, the occupation court issued a decision today that rejects freezing the administrative detention of the detainee Alaa al-A’raj.
Attorney Jawad Boulos noted that “the order of the court, based on the hospital’s report, constitutes a dangerous indicator of a new negative position by the court toward freezing administrative detentions orders.”
It is worth noting that the detainee al-A’raj, who is 34, from Tulkarm, is a civil engineer, and is detained in the Ramla prison clinic. He has been arrested several times since 2013, some of which were administrative detentions.
This comes after several Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike faced deteriorating health conditions.
