Palestinian Resistance fighters destroyed a number of Israeli military vehicles, including a Merkava 4 tank, as the occupation's war on Gaza goes into its 280th day.

Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades reported on several operations conducted on Friday, including the destruction of two armored vehicles in a complex operation that involved an unexploded F-16 launched bomb.

Al-Qassam fighters returning from the frontlines report on top-tier operations

The brigades said that its fighters, who returned from the frontlines, had set up an explosively formed penetrator (EFP), of the Shawaz-type, and an unexploded Israeli F-16 launched bomb in Tell al-Hawa, in southwestern Gaza City. Al-Qassam fighters utilized the explosives to destroy two Israeli Merkava 4 tanks that arrived at the point of the ambush.

Two Israeli military light-armored vehicles were destroyed by al-Qassam fighters, who had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) on a road in Tell al-Hawa. One of the vehicles was destroyed after the IED was detonated and the other was destroyed after an al-Qassam fighter fired an al-Yassin tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) at it.

Moreover, fighters that had returned from the frontlines on Friday, after several days of confrontations in Tell al-Hawa, said that they engaged an Israeli infantry force in close-quarters battle, while also detonating an anti-personnel IED into Israeli reinforcements that arrived in the neighborhood.

Al-Mujahideen Brigades fighters, in coordination with al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, sniped an Israeli soldier in Tell al-Hawa.

Israeli forces repositioned themselves westwards in Tell al-Hawa, on Street 8, after launching a dual incursion into al-Shujaiya and Tell al-Hawa. The incursion into al-Shujaiya was put off and Israeli forces withdrew from the neighborhood after suffering heavy losses.

Palestinian Resistance fighters shell Israeli sites, positions

Palestinian Resistance fighters also shelled Israeli occupation forces' positions, utilizing a variety of mortar shells and short-range rocket artillery weapons.

Intense shelling of strategic Netzarim Axis

Al-Qassam fighters renewed their shelling of the Netzarim Axis, which splits the northern Gaza Strip from the rest of the besieged territory. The axis has been a strategic logistics point for the Israeli military, which has utilized it to launch incursions into Gaza City and the central Gaza Strip. It also hosts several field command and control points.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades also heavily shelled occupation forces across the axis on Friday. Moreover, al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades fighters fired two 107mm rockets at Israeli forces in Netzarim.

The PIJ's armed wing also launched several 107mm rockets and barrages of mortar shells at the Karem Abu Salem military site, located to the east of Rafah.

In the southernmost city of Rafah, the brigades' mortar units shelled occupation forces at occupying the Rafah border crossing.

Further north, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine's (DFLP) National Resistance Brigades conducted a joint rocket attack with al-Mujahideen Brigades, targeting the Nahal Oz military site, located to the east of al-Shujaiya.

In Rafah's George Street, al-Qassam fighters fired two al-Yassin shells at an Israeli Merkava tank and armored personnel carrier (APC).
