The liberated prisoner and leader in Islamic Jihad, Maher al-Akhras, said on Wednesday that some detainees will carry out martyrdom in the coming days, and prisons might turn into war scenes between the prisoners and jailers.

These updates came, as per al-Akhras, after losing contact with some Islamic Jihad detainees, adding that the detainees might turn to any option to call for their rights, and the situation in prisons might lead to a tragedy.

During his talk to Al Mayadeen, al-Akhras indicated that the Israeli occupation will fail in wasting the right of the Palestinian detainees to call for their rights.

In the meantime, the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs stated that the resistance fighters of the movement started to submit the hunger strike demands that include the return of the detainees to their divisions and rooms in the detaining facilities as well as the end of the arbitrary transfer of detainees.

The commission demanded to end suffocating policies against female prisoners and to improve their detention conditions. He asserted that the strike is supported by all detainees, some of which will partially take part in it.
