Algerian Army: Increase in pro-“Israel” agendas in our region
The Algerian Army journal op-ed says the country is witnessing a multitude of threats that serve Israeli interests.
The Algerian Army’s command declared that the country’s regional space is currently witnessing a multitude of threats and an increase in agendas that serve “Israel”.
An op-ed in the army’s journal for January 2022 called on the people of Algeria to support their country and its army in order to fight the schemes of Morocco, who is serving the Zionist project, as it said.
The op-ed also noted the increase of regional tensions, the increased complexity of the security situation in Libya, and the return of the Polisario Front’s renewed adoption of armed struggle, adding that the worsening security situation along Algeria’s borders and the threats the country faces push the army to resolve them.
Enemies changing tactics against Algeria: chief of staff
Yesterday, Algeria’s Chief of Staff Said Chengriha made a statement wherein he said that the lack of regional security poses a threat to Algiers.
"Our enemies have become despaired due to their inability to get us face-to-face, so they are trying to change their tactics through using cyberspace, social media platforms, and media disinformation campaigns to demoralize our people. We are well aware of that, and we are working on confronting it," he said.
The Chief of Staff brought to light another challenge facing Algeria, which he said were the terrorist groups, "despite defeating and curbing them."
He said Algier's enemies were waging an undeclared war to impede Algeria's promising national advances and strike the country's stability and national unity.
The commander underlined that the situation the region is undergoing, especially that in terms of instability, constituted another threat to Algeria, highlighting that operational preparedness was the only way to confront it.
