Iranian FM meets Qaani: We will pursue Soleimani's path for peace
Quds Force Commander Esmail Qaani and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reiterate the necessity of securing Iran's national interests, highlighting the unique role of martyr Qassem Soleimani in his fight against terrorism.
On Wednesday, the Quds Force Commander, Esmail Qaani, visited the Iranian Foreign Ministry headquarters to congratulate Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on his new position.
During the meeting, Qaani affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' role in securing Iran's national interests.
Amir-Abdollahian, in his turn, valued Qaani's visit, pointing to martyr Qassem Soleimani's unique role in the fight against terrorism and Zionism, without which the shape of the region would have been different.
He stressed that the Foreign Ministry would proudly follow in the footsteps of Commander Soleimani in establishing peace and friendship with the countries of the region and fighting terrorism.
Amir-Abdollahian added that had ISIS succeeded in Syria and Iraq, the world would have been facing "terrorism and extremism" today, stressing that the Quds Force has played a huge role in "establishing security and peace in the region and the world."
