Amir-Abdollahian: Window for talks will not remain open forever
Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, says that the US and E3 must realize that the Vienna talks "is not a window that could remain open forever."
Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, stated on Monday that the opportunity of the Vienna talks "is not a window that could remain open forever and the US and E3 must well understand this."
Amir-Abdollahian clarified that despite the West's non-compliance with the JCPOA, Iran is "once again ready, in good faith, for result-oriented negotiations to achieve a 'good deal' with the P4+1."
He added that "it should never be forgotten that the United States is the main culprit behind the creation of the status quo."
"In the past 4 years, the government of the United States has spared no effort to crush the nuclear deal, and it was Iran that did all it could to keep the deal alive," the FM said.
"The likely return of the US to the nuclear deal would not be meaningful unless guarantees are presented to prevent the recurrence of the bitter experience of the past and Iran’s trade partners could confidently enter into a long-term economic engagement with Iran free from any concern."
Iran, he stated, will not enter any discussion that goes beyond issues relevant to the nuclear deal. The Islamic Republic has also devised an effective program to "neutralize the sanctions in line with its sustainable economic development program. "

The 7th round of talks
The head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna talks, Mikhail Ulyanov, stated that countries in the JCPOA gathered on Monday, for the first time in 5 months, thus beginning the 7th round of talks aiming to revive the deal, which the United States withdrew from almost 3 years ago.
The 7th round of negotiations for the revival of the nuclear deal began on Monday in the Austrian capital.
Tehran's lead negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani, told the press in a statement today that a number of bilateral talks were held with some of the JCPOA countries, adding that useful talks were held with the Russian and Chinese delegations yesterday.
Bagheri Kani added that Iran is entering the Vienna talks fully prepared to lift the unjust and oppressive sanctions against the Iranian people.
