Any blunder will snowball into all-out regional war: Sayyed Nasrallah
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah hails the Resistance and Liberation Day; a great occasion to recall the great victory Lebanon claimed on this day, May 25, 2000.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on the occasion of the Resistance and Liberation Day that "those who think that the battle with the Israeli enemy has ended are delusional, as there is part of our land that is still under occupation," noting that "there are those who seek to devalue the achieved victory, and we must prevent that."
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed the necessity of reviving this occasion because it is a great event, alongside the sacrifices that have been made in that course that “our generations must be made aware of."
"All generations and all the Lebanese people must be reminded that the victory that was achieved did not come just like that; rather, it was the fruit of many years of sacrifices,” he added.
The Resistance leader stressed that there are three significant stages in the struggle with the Israeli enemy: which are May 17, the date that stands for wrong choices, May 15, the day of the Nakba, and May 25, the date that stands for right choices.
He further explained that the transformations that the occupation entity, which was supposed to be strong and dominant, underwent are the result of a long struggle and a history of sacrifices [on the part of the Resistance].
As such, Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that "following the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000, then followed by the withdrawal from Gaza, the so-called ‘Great or Greater Israel’ no longer exists,” pointing out that "Israel" is now hiding behind walls and gunfire and is impotent and unable to impose any conditions in any negotiations with the Palestinian people.
He also confirmed that placing the bets on the so-called "Arab Spring" has failed miserably, and so did the so-called “Deal of the Century,” adding that there is no longer complete US hegemony over the world, as “we are heading toward a multipolar world, which is worrisome to Israel.”
"The Israeli internal division is met with more cohesion and stability of the Axis of Resistance," he stressed, adding that the positions of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi during his visit to Syria after 12 years of a global war against the country are a clear indication of the cohesion of the Axis of Resistance.
Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that "the outstanding human capacity in the Axis of Resistance is met by the decline in Israeli manpower and [a state of] utmost fear of engaging in any fight."
In response to Netanyahu's threat, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Nasrallah said, "You are not the ones threatening an all-out war, we are the ones doing so."
He further stressed that "any all-out war will extend to include all borders,” highlighting superiority in the human capacity on the part of the Axis of Resistance.
Regarding the point of strength in the ongoing confrontation with the Israeli occupation, Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that the Israeli occupation’s internal front is weak and is facing an "ideological retreat", which is driving the Israeli settlers to get set to pack their bags and leave occupied Palestine.
"The liberation of Palestine, [performing] prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the demise of the occupation entity, and confidence and certainty in our victory" are all aspirations that Sayyed Nasrallah sees inevitable.
He pointed out that “among the current transformations is the development of the capabilities of the military Resistance forces, an example of which is what we have in Lebanon."
Regarding normalization with the Israeli occupation, Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that “Israel” was able to normalize ties with some Arab regimes but failed to normalize with their people, stressing that "the occupation entity realized that the Arab regimes are incapable of imposing normalization on their people."
The Hezbollah chief pointed to the growing confidence in the Resistance against the culture of submission, surrender, and settlements.
He added that the Israeli occupation is trying to portray the Resistance forces as if they are dependents and tools of the Axis of Resistance countries, pointing out that this is a fatal Israeli mistake because it underestimates the Resistance’s capabilities.
Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the most important point of strength of the Resistance in its struggle with the Israeli occupation is the genuineness of the Palestinian Resistance forces because the Palestinian people are the rightful owners of the right, the land, and the cause.
He explained that although Iran supports the Palestinian Resistance, the Palestinians are the decision-makers, right-holders, and the ones who resist since they are the original landowners.
He continued that one of the most important transformations that have taken place is the deterrence power of the Resistance forces, where the Israeli occupation today rationally calculates every step it would take against the Resistance and Iran.
Sayyed Nasrallah considered that Operation Avenging the Free in Gaza demonstrated the growth of the Resistance's deterrence power over that of the eroding Israeli one, noting that the Israelis had failed to strengthen their deterrence power and realized that they would pay a heavy price for every aggression.
He pointed out that the Israelis backed down from their threats due to the decline in tourism and the collapse of their shekel against the US dollar.
Sayyed Nasrallah further warned that any Israeli blunder in the region could snowball into an all-out war, noting that current regional developments call for optimism.
Locally, the Hezbollah Secretary-General underlined that the “Army, People, and Resistance” golden equation guarantees protection for Lebanon and must not be sidelined, calling for excluding this major equation from an aimless, fruitless debate.
Touching on the case of the country's central bank governor, Sayyed Nasrallah said Riad Salameh must either resign or the Lebanese judiciary should assume its responsibility since the caretaker government does not have the power to impeach him.
Elsewhere, the Lebanese Resistance leader said the issue of the Syrian refugees could be resolved by sending a Lebanese government delegation to Syria and holding talks on the matter.
On this occasion, Sayyed Nasrallah expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the victory by making sacrifices, spearheaded by the martyrs, the wounded, the liberated prisoners, and the freedom fighters, as well as the families of all the aforementioned, not to mention all the people who embrace the Resistance.
He also thanked the Lebanese army, security forces, Palestinian factions, presidents, political forces, and everyone who supported the Resistance in Lebanon.
Sayyed Nasrallah also hailed the support of Iran and Syria, who stood by the Resistance in Lebanon and still do.
