Three Israeli soldiers were killed after an anti-tank missile struck a military army unit in the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported on Monday.

The reports described the incident as another "disaster" for the occupation forces, unfolding amid what was described as a "difficult and complex battle" taking place in several areas, especially in the eastern part of Gaza City.

The outlets revealed that Israeli warplanes conducted an aerial evacuation mission, airlifting wounded soldiers from within Gaza and transferring them to Tal HaShomer military hospital in central "Israel".

The operation comes as reports circulate of possible Israeli losses during fierce confrontations with Palestinian Resistance fighters in the al-Tuffah neighborhood and Jabalia al-Balad. The confrontations involved the use of smoke grenades and heavy artillery shelling to secure the aerial evacuation from inside the Gaza Strip.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas, revealed on Friday that its fighters attempted to capture an Israeli occupation soldier during a daring daylight raid east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The group confirmed the operation targeted Israeli soldiers and military vehicles, including a Merkava tank and a troop carrier, using Yassin-105 rocket-propelled grenades.

The al-Qassam Brigades stated that, despite battlefield conditions preventing the capture of the soldier, the fighter responsible killed him and seized his weapon. "Abraham Azulai’s luck ran out," the statement said, "and soon, the next soldier’s fate will be different, as a new prisoner."

Al-Qassam had earlier released a video as part of its David’s Stones operation series, documenting the moment its fighters engaged an Israeli military convoy in the same area. The footage showed direct contact with Israeli troops, capturing one soldier fleeing while others appeared unprotected and unsupported during the confrontation.

The video also showed resistance fighters attempting to seize the fleeing soldier, before ultimately killing him and confiscating his weapon. Notably, the footage highlighted the absence of covering fire or any immediate response from nearby Israeli forces.
