Attack in Pakistan Leaves Dozens Injured and Martyred
Pakistani authorities have already arrested a suspect.
Pakistani security sources have reported to Sputnik that 5 people were killed and dozens injured in an explosion targeting an Ashura procession in Bahawalnagar district in Punjab, eastern Pakistan.
According to local media, the Pakistani security authorities have arrested a suspect in the bombing that targeted the Ashura march.
Preliminary information provided by security sources indicates that the explosion was "carried out with a hand grenade."
A video clip circulated on social media, showing a group of participants in the march who suffered multiple injuries while awaiting medical attention.
