Axis of Resistance is Latin America's ally against blockade: Salgado
The Argentine academic tells Al Mayadeen the path that the Resistance has taken is very important in Latin America, as the enemies of the Arab world are the same as Latin America's.
Argentine academic and journalist, Sebastian Salgado, said the Israeli occupation could not confront a force like Hezbollah in 2006, adding that the occupation continues to kill defenseless civilians and women and children for eight decades of land theft.
Speaking to Al Mayadeen as part of its open coverage on the 17th anniversary of the 2006 July victory in the Israeli war on Lebanon, Salgado considered that this victory's aftermath is still evident today, adding that had it not been for this victory, the Israeli occupation would not have left the Lebanese waters last February, in reference to the Resistance preventing the occupation from extracting gas from the Karish field.
He pointed out that the peoples of Latin America show a desire to ditch the isolation and siege that they have been suffering from for years, which are intensifying due to the pressure imposed by the forces of Western hegemony, stressing that the allies of Latin American countries in the face of this siege are the countries of the Axis of Resistance.

The Argentine academic said the Israeli occupation military is aware that the Resistance is more powerful and capable than ever before and enjoys great popular support.
Salgado pointed out that thanks to the Resistance, "we are living the last days of the Zionist regime," stressing that the path that the Resistance has taken is very important in Latin America, as the enemies of the Arab world are the same as the enemies of the Latin American people.
He also stressed that the only language that the occupation understands is "the language of resistance" through arms and that the Israeli occupation regime does not respect peaceful and diplomatic paths, adding that it is clear that "Israel" does not have a constitution because it is "not a real country."
The Argentine academic and journalist recalled the martyrs of the Resistance, spearheaded by martyr Qassem Soleimani, saying that these martyrs "show us the way of freedom."
Salgado also recalled the resistance of the Syrian people in the face of terrorism and terrorist groups, which according to him, were created by the United States and "Israel", underlining that this Resistance dealt a fatal blow to American projects in the Middle East.
