Baghdad Summit Conclusion: Efforts Must be Unified For the Stability of the Region

The concluding statement of the Baghdad Summit for Cooperation and Partnership welcomes the tireless efforts of Iraqi diplomats to reach a common ground with the regional and international surroundings.

The concluding statement of the Baghdad Summit of Cooperation and Partnership stressed the need to unify regional and international efforts, which will positively reflect on the stability and security of the region.

The statement mentioned that the region is facing challenges that require dealing in accordance with the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in internal affairs. It also noted that the participants in the summit affirmed support for Iraq's efforts in reconstruction, providing services, and strengthening the role of the private sector, reiterating their rejection of all types of terrorism.

The summit's participants welcomed the tireless efforts of Iraqi diplomats to reach a common ground with the regional and international surroundings in order to strengthen political, economic, and security partnerships. They also pointed out that Baghdad's embrace of this summit is clear evidence of Iraq's adoption of balanced policy and positive cooperation in its international relations.

Regarding terrorism, the participants commended Iraq's efforts and great sacrifices in its war on terrorism with the help of the international coalition and allies to achieve victory. The participants welcomed the development of Iraq's military and security capabilities, which contributes to the consolidation of security in the region.

According to the concluding statement, the participants valued the Iraqi government's efforts in achieving economic reforms that will encourage investment in various sectors. The investments will create an appropriate economic environment, enhance the process of sustainable development, and create job opportunities.

The participating countries stressed the need for continued cooperation in fighting the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19 through the exchange of expertise and the transfer of successful experiences, such as vaccination mechanisms and supporting health sectors.

In turn, Iraq expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the active presence of leaders of "brotherly and friendly countries," foreign ministers, regional and international organizations, and diplomatic missions, who participated and monitored the Baghdad Summit for Cooperation and Partnership.
