Bagheri Kani to Safadi: Israeli regime crossed critical red line
The Jordanian foreign minister backs Iran's proposal to call for an immediate meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation against the Zionist regime's terrorist activities.
"Israel" crossed a massive red line, and Iran will surely apply law and justice with zero tolerance toward it, said Iranian Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani in a phone conversation with Ayman al-Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
He affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces had demolished Gaza over the previous ten months and were now extending their atrocities to Yemen, Beirut, and Tehran.
He added that there is a major risk to regional and global peace and security if "Israel" and its allies are not apprehended.
Bagheri Kani held discussions on Thursday with foreign officials from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkiye to address the latest Israeli escalation in the region. Meanwhile, huge Iranian crowds participated in the funeral procession of the martyred leader Haniyeh in Tehran.
In a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Bagheri Kani emphasized that "the assassination of the martyr Haniyeh by the occupying entity is a violation of Iran's security" and "seriously threatens regional stability and security."
He reiterated to the Saudi foreign minister that "Iran will exercise its legitimate right to respond decisively to the Zionist entity, making it regret its actions forever."
On his part, the Jordanian foreign minister backed Iran's proposal to call for an immediate meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in order to oppose the Israeli entity's terrorist activities.

The foreign minister of Jordan condemned the crime of the Zionist regime in the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh on Iranian soil and the violation of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming that "Israel" undermined mediators' efforts by assassinating the main party - Haniyeh - in the negotiations.
Back-to-back attacks
An Iranian source revealed to Al Mayadeen that the assassination of Hamas' political bureau head Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran "was carried out by a missile launched from one country to another, not from within Iran."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani confirmed that the relevant Iranian authorities are conducting "the necessary investigations to determine the dimensions and details of this incident."
He said, "There is no doubt that the pure blood of this resistance fighter, who dedicated his life to resistance and honorable struggle against the usurping Zionist entity, and in the pursuit of liberating holy al-Quds and the Palestinian people, will not be in vain."
Kanaani added that Haniyeh's martyrdom in Tehran will further strengthen the deep and solid relations between Iran, Palestine, and the Resistance.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in Iran announced the martyrdom of Haniyeh, alongside one of his guards in Tehran.
That came hours following the attack on Haret Hreik targeting Sayyed Fouad Shokor, also known by his alias Hajj Mohsen, on Tuesday.
Lebanon's Ministry of Health announced, on Wednesday, that the toll from the Israeli occupation's attack on the southern suburb of Beirut has risen to 7, with 78 others injured.
In turn, Iranian media reported that an Iranian advisor, Milad Bidi, was among the martyrs after his body was identified during the debris removal process. Bidi was present in the building where senior Hezbollah commander Sayyed Fouad Shokor was assassinated.
