Bahrain reorganizes intelligence services to work closely with "Israel".
The Intelligence Online website, which specializes in security affairs, revealed that Bahrain has embarked on a "major reform" process for its security apparatus and the development of its technological capabilities to enhance close cooperation with "Israel".
This comes after a meeting that brought together Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Interior Minister, with his counterpart Omer Bar-Lev, the Israeli Minister of Internal Security, on January 14, in a meeting aimed at intensifying security cooperation between Manama and "Tel Aviv" after the normalization agreement in 2020.
Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa urged officials of the security apparatus to reorganize it to "reach closer cooperation with 'Israel'," as he put it. The instructions reached the Bahraini intelligence service, the General Security Service of the Ministry of Interior, in addition to the Strategic Security Service, which holds an official mandate to deal directly with the Israeli Mossad and the Shin Bet security service.
Moreover, the Bahraini Strategic Security Agency is preparing to receive a team of Israeli trainers to train Bahraini intelligence officers, according to Intelligence Online.
The website also mentioned that "Tel Aviv" will provide Bahrain with satellites, anti-drone systems, and Hermes drones, designed for tactical missions from the Israeli company Elbit Systems.
The normalization agreement did nothing but demonstrate the depth of the strategic relations between the Israeli occupation and some Arab countries. An example would be the UAE, with which “Israel” bypassed the issue of security coordination and cooperation, and moved toward joint military industrialization.
It is noteworthy that the normalization agreements were signed by the UAE and Bahrain to normalize relations with "Israel", in a ceremony brokered by US President Donald Trump on the White House lawn.
