Banners will not, shall not be lowered: Joint Operations Room
The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza warns the occupation against returning to the policy of assassinations.
The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance Factions in Gaza said on Saturday that Operation Avenging the Free is a new chapter of glory that the Resistance fought as a unified structure.
In a statement, the Operations Room said that "a round of fighting, resistance, and steadfastness has ended, but our resistance has once again emerged more powerful and aggressive."
The statement said although Operation Avenging the Free has ended, the banners will not and shall not be lowered, and the will to fight will not and shall not ever dwindle.
It pointed out that the Israeli occupation made a mistake when it thought that time was in its favor and that it had an opportune moment to assassinate a group of righteous Resistance leaders.
The Operations Room warned the occupation against returning to the policy of assassinations, "for our swords have not been sheathed and our hands are on the trigger, and if you return [to your sins] we will return [to punishment]."
The statement indicated that the occupation wanted to end the round as soon as possible, believing that by doing so it would have achieved an accomplishment. However, it was surprised by the wisdom and steadfastness of the Resistance.
According to the Operations Room, the Resistance confused the occupation's calculations, entrapped it in the equation of attrition, preoccupied its security system, and exhausted its fragile internal front.
The Joint Room said the hand of the resistance was superior in the equation of power and deterrence, as it showered the enemy with hundreds of rockets and artillery shells, killing and wounding its settlers and destroying its structure.
Elsewhere, the Palestinian Resistance Factions' Joint Operations Room in Gaza hailed the martyrs of this battle "who were assassinated by the treacherous Zionist hand."
'Israel' pledged to stop assassinations: Resistance Sources-Exclusive
Earlier, sources in the Resistance told Al Mayadeen on Saturday that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement obtained an undeclared Israeli pledge to stop assassinations implicitly implied in the expression “individuals” in the Egyptian-mediated ceasefire agreement.
Before the ceasefire entered into force, the Palestinian Resistance said it hit "Tel Aviv", occupied cities, and the Gaza envelope settlements with intense salvoes of rockets until the last second.
In the same context, the Israeli occupation's "National" Security Adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, said that "Israel" has agreed to the Egyptian-mediated ceasefire, but said that "quiet will be met with quiet," as per a statement issued by the office of Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Earlier, Egyptian media reported that Cairo mediated a ceasefire between the Palestinian Resistance and the Israeli occupation that took effect at 10:00 pm Saturday.
The ceasefire agreement text stated that Cairo urged the two sides to implement the agreement and is working to follow up on that by communicating with them.
According to the text, the ceasefire between the two sides will be adhered to, and it includes stopping the targeting of civilians and individuals and the demolition of homes.
Israeli media cited a security source as saying that the Israeli occupation did not commit to stopping the assassinations.
This comes after the Israeli occupation launched a five-day heinous aggression against the Gaza Strip, targeting residential houses in the north, center, and south of the Strip.
In retaliation, Al-Quds Brigades and the Palestinian Resistance factions launched Operation Avenging the Free, in which it used advanced rockets and missiles that bypassed the Iron Dome and targeted several Israeli settlements, occupied cities, and occupation sites.
Former Israeli occupation Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the Israeli Channel 12 that 70% of illegal Israeli settlers in the south fled due to the Palestinian Resistance's rocket fire
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed in the aggression rose to 33 martyrs, including six children and three women, and 147 people were wounded.
